Back to Normal Operations Post-Hurricane Milton

We are pleased to announce that we have resumed normal operations following the passing of Hurricane Milton, and this will be our last post. While we experienced some disruption, we are incredibly thankful that the damage was minimal, especially considering the broader impacts that many in Lee County are facing.

At this time, elevator service is still limited, but full restoration is expected by the end of today. We appreciate your patience as we finalize these repairs.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated employees who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of our residents and to get us back up and running so quickly. Your commitment and hard work did not go unnoticed, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

We also extend our gratitude to our residents and family members for your understanding and support during this time. We’re fortunate to have come through Hurricane Milton with minimal disruption and remain committed to serving you with the same dedication as always.

The phone lines are still down and we are still having some issues with the elevators.

Note from Matt our maintenance director: Elevator #3 on the back hall is operational. Kona Elevator is expected on site today to hopefully resolve our elevator issues.

Dining will operate normally today. If you are unable to call in a reservation for dinner, please know we will have dining staff at the hostess stand starting at 11am to take your reservations.

We are thankful to report that power has been restored throughout the community. The Plant Operations team has conducted a thorough check of all our critical systems. We were luckily able to bring all the rooftop AC units back online. We also were able to get all 7 elevators running. The building boilers (hot water) have come back online as well.

A Hurricane Watch Has Been Issued.

Staff and residents of The Terraces at Bonita Springs are sheltering in place during Hurricane Milton. Our community is constructed to meet stringent building codes and to withstand high winds and flooding. This is the same plan that we implemented with Hurricane Ian two years ago.

Should a power outage occur, our team will continue to provide the highest levels of service and care with no interruption. The Terraces is equipped with backup power generators to ensure function and access to essential lighting and air conditioning in the event of a power outage. Additionally, The Terraces has on hand a multiple-day supply of prescription medications, medical supplies, food, and drinking water for each resident.
