Testimonials

I was totally impressed from the moment I pulled into the campus for the first time. It is so well-maintained and really does feel like a little slice of the Mediterranean. I especially love the architecture, all the beautiful walkways and arches, and the lush landscaping and gardens. I’m so proud to call The Terraces my home.

I love to be social and engage with friends, but I also love solitude and having time for quiet reflection. Life at The Terraces allows me to have the best of both worlds. I can be as social or as private as I choose.

The staff is so friendly, with a sense of humor. When I come back after my weekly round of golf, not only does the valet greet me by my name, he also asks about my game and jokingly gives me a few pointers.

When my husband’s health began to decline, the transition to move him into memory support was seamless and everyone was so compassionate and helpful. It brings me such comfort to know he is being well taken care of. The best part is the convenience of having all our needs met in one location - we’re still under the same roof!

My mom has been living at The Terraces for the past two years and she’s always telling me she wishes she moved there sooner. The only way for her kids and grandkids to keep up with her busy life is to follow her on Facebook! She’s always posting a photo of a beautifully prepared meal, talking about a shopping excursion or working on improving her tennis game. It gives me such peace of mind to know she’s enjoying her well-deserved retirement.

The best part of living at The Terraces? No more home maintenance! My wife and I lived in our beach condo for more than 30 years and there was always something going wrong or breaking. Here, we’re not burdened with chores, so we have more time and energy to spend on living life. We eat well, we spend time with new friends, we travel and we’re always up for trying something new. Life is good!

Nichael and Helen

Stollmeyer

In the swim of things

The Stollmeyers aren’t “dip their toe in and test the waters” kind of people. When they find what fits them, they jump right in.

The couple looked at other communities in the area, but when they visited The Terraces, their search was over. They were among the first couples to move in. “It was time for us to start planning the next phase of our lives while we’re still enjoying this phase,” Michael says.

Michael, a competitive swimmer who races at international events, swims laps every morning in the indoor pool. Helen walks laps inside the community.

“We love the fact everything is under one roof,“ Helen says. “Almost anything you could think of – cards, billiards, bistro, library, art studio, fitness center – is right here.”

Dr. Del Booher

Impressed by hospitality and peace of mind

"The staff here at The Terraces are very caring people who are concerned about our happiness and well-being, from the top CEO down through all levels of associates. The Housekeeping services each week, including laundering and ironing of bed linens, is very much appreciated. Concierge and Valet services are very helpful and facilitate many services and provide a lot of assistance.

The Continuity of Care concept and our Lifecare contract that provides access to advanced levels of care if and when needed is very comforting and reassuring. Planning ahead with our Lifecare contract provides direction and assurance of future care, relieving friends and family of this responsibility. The return of a significant portion of buy in provides money for estate after passing or moving out."

Emilie Bickmore

Hospitality that rivals a 5-star hotel

When Emilie’s husband passed away and she considered a retirement community, “My kids weren’t crazy about it,” she says. “They wanted me to move closer to them in Washington D.C. or Colorado – that didn’t appeal to me one bit.”

A longtime Bonita Springs resident, Emilie wants to stay close to everything she loves about the area. And she didn’t want to be a burden to her kids. So she chose The Terraces. Once they visited, her family “thought this was the best decision I’d ever made,” she says.

“My granddaughter and her husband usually stay at the Ritz, but they came to visit and stayed at a guest suite here instead,“ Emilie says. “They had such a wonderful time that when they come back, they’re staying here.”
